Cookie policy of leymanadvocaten.be
This document informs Users about the technologies that allow this Application to achieve the purposes described below. These technologies allow the Owner to access and store information (e.g. by using a Cookie) or use resources (e.g. by running a script) on a User’s device as they interact with this Application over time.
For simplicity, all these technologies will be referred to as “Trackers” in this document, unless there is a reason to differentiate them.
For example, while Cookies can be used on both web and mobile browsers, it would be imprecise to talk about Cookies in the context of mobile applications, as Cookies are browser-based Trackers. Therefore, in this document, the term Cookies will be used exclusively to indicate that specific type of Tracker.
Certain purposes for which Trackers are installed also require the User’s consent. Once consent has been given, it can be freely withdrawn at any time following the instructions in this document.
This Application uses Trackers managed directly by the Owner (so-called “first-party Trackers”) and Trackers that enable services provided by third parties (so-called “third-party Trackers”). Unless otherwise specified in this document, third-party providers may access the Trackers managed by them.
The validity and expiration periods of first-party cookies and other similar Trackers may vary depending on the lifespan set by the Owner or the respective provider. Some of them expire upon termination of the User’s browsing session.
In addition to what is specified in the descriptions within each of the categories below, Users may find more precise and updated information regarding the lifespan specification, as well as any other relevant information – such as the presence of other Trackers – in the linked privacy policies of the respective third-party providers or by contacting the Owner.

Google Analytics (Universal Analytics) is a web analytics service provided by Google LLC (“Google”). Google uses the collected data to track and analyze the use of this Application, to compile reports on its activity, and to share these reports with other Google services.
Google may use the collected data to contextualize and personalize the ads of its own advertising network.
This integration of Google Analytics anonymizes your IP address. This works by shortening the IP addresses of users within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address sent to a Google server and shortened within the US. Please refer to Google’s partner policy for more information about Google’s use of data.

When the use of Trackers is based on consent, Users can give or withdraw such consent by setting or updating their preferences through the relevant privacy options panel within this Application.
With regard to third-party Trackers, Users can manage their preferences via the related opt-out link (if available), by using the means indicated in the third party’s privacy policy, or by contacting the third party.
Manage or delete cookies and similar technologies through your device settings
Users can use their own browser settings to:
see which cookies or other similar technologies are set on the device;
block cookies or similar technologies;
delete cookies or similar technologies from the browser.
However, browser settings do not allow for granular management of consent by category.
For example, Users can find information about how to manage cookies in the most commonly used browsers at the following addresses:
Google Chrome
Mozilla Firefox
Apple Safari
Microsoft Internet Explorer
Microsoft Edge
Brave
Opera
Users can also manage certain categories of Trackers used in mobile applications by opting out through the relevant device settings, such as the device’s advertising settings for mobile devices or tracking settings in general (Users can open the device settings and look for the relevant setting).
Consequences of refusing the use of Trackers
Users are free to decide whether or not to consent to the use of Trackers. However, please note that Trackers help this Application provide Users with a better experience and advanced functionalities (in accordance with the purposes set out in this document). Therefore, if the User chooses to block the use of Trackers, the Owner may not be able to provide related features.
